This is one of my all-time, best-selling photographs. Over the years, I have taken hundreds of portraits of this beautiful statue that graces a gravesite in a cemetery in Omaha, NE. “She” has changed and aged over time in the harsh elements, but was stunning when I took this photograph in 2010.

I took this photograph of a mannequin’s face through a store window at Plaza Indonesia in Jakarta, Indonesia, in 2015. This was a “nothing” photo and I didn’t realize how spectacular it could be until I edited it into a black and white portrait and had it made on a large canvas.

While living in Washington, D.C., I heard about a dilapidated seminary in Silver Spring, MD, that was being renovated into a condo community. When I shot this photograph in 2008, one in a series of “Maiden Statues” that lined the decrepit ruins of the main seminary building, it was a creepy construction site completely overgrown by weeds. They were in rather shabby condition, but absolutely captivating to my artist’s eye! Today the statues have been completely restored on the grounds of the National Park Seminary Condo and bear almost no resemblence to the captivating creatures from my 2008 photo shoot.
